Little Nemo: The Dream Master|
Often overlooked, but brought to our attention now, is Capcom's 1990 release of Little Nemo: The Dream Master. The game of Little Nemo is loosely based on a comic strip that first appeared in 1905, Little Nemo in Slumberland by Winsor McCay. The comic strip featured a boy named Little Nemo (Latin for "nobody") who would dream of a nifty land in each strip.
After the Little Nemo comic strip had been all but forgotten for decades, Capcom revived the character with its own video game, featuring Little Nemo, who must battle his way through a dream land taken over by followers of the King of Nightmares. Provided by the Princess of Slumberland is Little Nemo's very own special weapon in order to aid him on his quest. Nemo's special weapon is candy. Okay, so it's not really that much of a weapon, but it can give enemies a pause when hit, and if you feed candy to certain creatures you find along the way, you'll have the opportunity to actually ride those creatures. Nifty.
