This is mainly offensive. Forward+A (when up close)- Throw attack. Leaves your opponent stunned. Start- Pauses the game. Select- Not used. Note: A second player can play at the same time by pressing Right on the control pad at the character select screen. Move List ======================================================================== ===== Mario/Mari The famous plumber appears once again to beat the crap out of Bowser and DK junior. He stole Ryu's uppercut technique, it seems. Home Turf: The same as Luigi's, just a bridge suspended over some lava. BORING. Primary colors: Red and Blue, his favorites. Secondary colors: Blue and Green, looks very similar to Luigi. Down, Down-Forward, Forward, A Mario throws a small fireball at his opponent. Back, Forward, A Mario propels himself into the air and pulls off an uppercut. This is useful for stopping jump-kicks before they connect. ======================================================================== ===== Yoshi/Yossy Yoshi returns to do battle with Mario, for all the times he dropped him off a cliff and made him eat a scorching-hot Blargg in Super Mario World. Home Turf: Little Nemo's dream land?!?!?! Apparently Nemo killed the nightmare king, so Yoshi decided to make it his home turf. Primary colors: Green, mean dino. Secondary colors: Purple, but still mean as ever. Down, Down-Forward, Forward, A Yoshi throws a green wave. Funny, I thought he would throw an egg. Oh well. Down, Down-Forward, Forward, B Yoshi lashes out with his tongue. It is slow-moving, but catches your opponents off-guard. This is the bad-ass Koopa buster we all know and love! Forward, Forward-Down, Down, Down-Back, Back, B Yoshi hovers in the air and lashes his tail at his opponent. Most professionals are puzzled as to how the hell he does it. Cheap 2-hit Combo Corner your opponent, Press Down, Down-Forward, Forward and A, then and follow it up with A. Another cheap 2-hit Combo Jump in, press A, then press Down+B when you land. ======================================================================== ===== Toad/Kinopio Toad gained some height, and decides to put it to good use against his rivals. Home Turf: A forest. Apparently Toad couldn't find a better place, so he just walked into the woods and found this place. Primary colors: Red clothing. Secondary colors: Green clothing. Down, Down-Forward, Forward, A Toad throws a mushroom at his opponent. Behold the power of...FUNGUS! Forward, Up-Forward, Up, B Toad slides forward on one foot, with his other leg extended to kick his opponent. Sort of reminds me of Jax's Shadow Kick from MK2. ======================================================================== ===== Luigi Luigi decides that he has been overlooked for the last time, and decides to enter the tournament just to kick Mario's ass. Home Turf: A bridge suspended over a lava pit. Anyone remember Eyedol's stage from Killer Instinct? Primary colors: Green and blue. His favorites. Secondary colors: Pink and blue. Looks sort of like Mario. Down, Down-Forward, Forward, A Luigi launches a green fireball, which is very similar to Mario's red one. (Need button motion) Luigi does an uppercut attack, which is very similar to Mario's. Cheap 2-hit Combo Corner your opponent, then jump in and press B, then press A as you land to throw them. ======================================================================== ===== Donkey Kong Jr./Donkey DK Junior saved his daddy from Mario before, and just wants to ensure that Mario never bothers them again. DK Junior's torso seems to have gained quite some size, and his legs are now very tiny. Must be some wierd genetic defect or something. Primary colors: Light brown, white suit. Secondary colors: Darker brown color. Home Turf: A castle-type place with Thwomps in the background, a checkerboard floor, and some WIERD music playing. Down, Down-forward, Forward, Punch- DK jr. slides a banana peel at his opponent. This is useful when the enemy gets up close. Down, Down-back, Back, Kick- DK jr. flies straight up, throwing a massive uppercut. This is useful for stopping jumping attacks. ======================================================================== ===== Koopa Troopa/Nokonoko Koopa has taken a beating from one too many times, and enters the tournament solely to prove he can beat Bowser AND Mario. Home Turf: A desert, much like World 4 from Super Mario 2, complete with Pokeys. Primary colors: Green, mean Koopa. Secondary colors: Purple Koopa. Never before have I seen a Purple Koopa. Back, Forward, B- Koopa pulls his head into his shell and jets forward a short distance. Down, Down-Back, Back and Punch- Koopa uses a shoulder charge. This is useful for catching your opponents off guard when they're trying to jump you. Cheap 2-hit Combo Corner your opponent, jump in and press A, then press B. ======================================================================== ===== Bowser/Koopa Apparently Noko stole his height, because now Bowser is even shorter than Toad! But Bowser wants to prove he's still the biggest, baddest turtle-dragon-beastie thingie there is. Home Turf- Same ol' desert that Nokonoko/Koopa Troopa uses. Primary colors- Green and mean. Secondary colors- Blue, but still mean as ever. Down, Down-Forward, Forward, A- Koopa spews fire breath at his opponent. Back, Back-Down, Down, Down-Forward, Forward and Kick- Bowser charges forward and attempts to run over his opponent. Similar to Koopa's. ======================================================================== ===== Princess Toadstool/Peach Peach grows tired of being rescued by Mario, and decides to rescue herself! She dons a cool-looking Chun-li outfit and decides to unload some whoop-ass. Home Turf: High in the clouds. Maybe it's one of those bonus levels from Super Mario Bros. Down, Down-Forward, Forward, A- Toadstool throws a little purple thingie at her opponent. Down, Down-Back, Back, B- Toadstool jets forward while spinning around with her arms flailing. Back+B- Peach uses her hair to nail her opponent. ======================================================================== =====
