That familiar "TWAP!" could only mean one thing...... the Paperboy is in town... for his second adventure. Through sleepy eyes , you deliver newspapers to your loyal customers. While this may sound like an easy job, you'll need all your riding skills just to survive your route thought the chaos and mania in Suburbia... Good Luck! At the end of each day, your hard-nose boss reviews your performance for the day. If you did well, you get to wake up bright and early the next day and make your deliveries once again. If you didn't cut the job , than you will be fired, so deliver those papers as best as you can. -==========================================================- G A M E S E Q U E N C E -==========================================================- After the title screen, a game option will appear this is what it will say : Press the start button to choose 1 player or two player game. To return to the options screen from the demo sequence press the tart button again. Press the A Button to begin the game. When the game begins , you'll see a screen that shows your houses, which will be indicated by blue houses, and non customers which is the red houses. Your scores lives remaining, and papers are shown in the upper left corner screen. Score points by delivering papers to your customers, the yellow , white , or blue houses with the paper boxes in front of the houses. Make sure you get their papers delivered or they will stop subscribing to the newspaper. You will also get points for breaking non-subscribers windows. Collect bonus points by hitting garbage cans, dogs, bushes , lamp posts tombstones and more. You will begin the game with four lives. Avoid the obstacles that the game throws at you ; If you happen to crash and fall off your bike, you will lose a life. You will start off with 10 papers , pick up extra bundles of paper as you go along to give to all your subscribing houses. Getting bundles as you go along is the key to finishing your route. -==========================================================- T R A I N I N G C O U R S E T R A C K -==========================================================- After you have completed your route, you get a chance to really show your stuff and earn some extra points at the training course track. You have 45 seconds to complete the training course track, when you enter the course, a countdown timer will appear in the lower right corner of the TV screen. Toss papers at certain targets along the way as you weave in and out between obstacles. Jump ramps replenish you supply of papers, to they are key to getting a lot of points in the training course track and beat the training course track. If you happen to be lucky and skillful enough to complete the training course track , the number of seconds remaining on the timer in the right hand corner of the screen multiplied by 100 will add up to the score you will get from the computer. -==========================================================- T H E D A I L Y R E P O R T -==========================================================- After you finish or the time runs out at the training course track you will get a Daily Report to tell you how you are doing in the game for that specific date. If you missed any subscribers' houses (or damage their property by breaking their window or windows), those houses ill be flashing on the screen to indicate they have cancelled their subscription to the newspaper and they will no longer want you to deliver papers to them. If you made all your deliveries the boss will be impressed as well as the neighbors in the neighborhood which will now want to subscribe to your newspaper as well as the others from the day before. If you get through the whole week of daring deliveries, you will make the headlines in the newspapers, it sounds easier than it is. -==========================================================- T H E H I G H S C O R E S C R E E N -==========================================================- If you get enough points during your deliveries and make the all time TOP TEN high score list you will get to put your initials on the High Score Screen. Press the Control Pad forward or backwards to move in between the letters of the alphabet, and press either A Button or B Button to select the letters of your initials. Press the control pad right to move to the next letter of your initials. When you are done enter END. -==========================================================- C O N T R O L F U N C T I O N -==========================================================- Press the Control Pad forward and back to accelerate and decelerate . (NOTE: to maintain top speed , you must continue holding forward on the D-PAD , once you let go, your speed will gradually decrease.) Press the left or right side of the D-PAD to move to that corresponding direction. Press either A Button or B Button to throw a paper. Press the Start Button again to resume game play.
