Characters
Bubble Bobble

Good Guys
Bub
Player number one. This green dinosaur is out on a mission to rescue his friends and he's destined to complete it, no matter what it takes. He has a special ability, which is blowing bubbles and popping them when enemies become trapped inside.
Bob
Player number two. This assistant to Bub can play simultaneously along with player one as he lends his assistance and bubble-blowing abilities that equal Bub's.

Bad Guys
Bubble Buster
This will be the first enemy you will encounter. It's not very bright, as all it does is run around in all different directions, hoping to touch you so you can die.
Stoner
The first enemy with a weapon that you will encounter. This dude runs around, like most enemies do, and throws slow-moving, big red blotches at you.
Beluga
Another enemy without a weapon, but this one can fly! He'll fly around until he touches you and kills you, taking a life away.
Hullaballoon
Hullaballoon is pretty much just a different-looking Beluga. It has no weapon, it just flys around until it hits you or until you kill it.
Coiley
No weapon (something that you should know by now to be common amongst many BB enemies), but this enemy doesn't run or fly. It jumps around on a spring.
Super Socket
This character runs back and forth on a flat surface while shooting it's laser-beam weapon downwards. This character is usually confined to a small area.
Willy Whistle
This somewhat casual-looking gentleman is actually more of a drunk. Like Stoner, it throws a weapon across the screen, but this time, it's a bottle, which moves faster than Stoner's red blotch. Whatever is in those bottles, I don't want to know.
Incendo
The last of the enemies you'll encounter before you reach the end boss. Similar to both Stoner and Whily Whistle, this enemy runs back and forth shooting quick beams at you.
Baron von Blubba
This enemy is the toughest of the whole group, but his appearance can be avoided. Baron von Blubba only shows up when you take too long trying to complete a level. When Baron does show, he chases you around the screen until you beat the level or until you lose a life. There is no other way to defeat this character.

End Boss
Grumple Grommit
This is the final boss, an expanded version of Willy Whistle; but there is a difference. Grumple can float in the air, and as he does this, he slowly bounces around the screen like a rubber ball. Also unlike Willy, Grumple throws not one bottle across the screen, but five at a time, in different directions. If this boss can be defeated, you win your friends back, but it doesn't necessarily mean the end of the game, or even victory.
